Engineering Thermodynamics
Description
An introduction to the first and second laws of thermodynamics.Learning Outcomes
Understand and apply engineering thermodynamic concepts involving pressure, temperature, specific volume, internal energy, enthalpy, entropy, work, and heatPerform 1st law analysis of closed and open engineering devices, systems, and cycles
Perform 2nd law analysis of closed and open engineering devices, systems, and cycles
Determine properties of matter for use in thermodynamic analysis using: a) property tables, b) ideal gas equations, c) incompressible substance equations, and d) generalized charts
Develop problem solving strategies and practices and apply them to solve multi-step problems
